Life in the slow lane

Or…when retired, do what you want and when you want to do it!

It’s been a while since I wrote a blog because, well frankly, I don’t think much has happened on our Poseidon Adventures. I’ve also been busy working on a project – a photo book for our son’s 21st birthday – which ended up having over 700 photos across 120 pages!

But now this is done, on reflection of my statement above, the adventure isn’t solely aboard our boat. We’ve also been exploring areas around Coffs Harbour and further afield, completing projects, supporting the local economy by eating out frequently for breakfast, lunch or dinner (and sometimes two of the three on the same day), as well as exercising and most importantly, relaxing.

So this blog is mainly about our sightseeing locally and further afield during the few times we’ve hired a car. I’ll save an update on the projects for a separate post!

In hindsight, maybe I could have written a blog about restaurants/cafes in Coffs because as we’ve tried almost every one in walking distance and others further away when we’ve had a car or just taken a taxi/uber. It’s always nice to eat out and not worry about washing the dishes!

Anyway, since most of my sightseeing involves lots (and lots) of photos, I decided to write separate posts and just provide links below, so you can choose what you might want to see:
